Asma from Algeria

"When I finished my studies in Algeria, I knew that I didn't have the full package that I needed. I couldn't just go to the professional field and just start to engage with people because I didn't feel very connected I guess because I needed to just to know more. And then I had a different insight and different perspective on architecture when they came here because they do have a different methodology which is very different than ours. Ours is much more dependent on memorisation is just about theoretical part. But here they just give you extra modules that they going to engage you on the outside world and also how to do paintings. And this is all about trying to reflect on your thoughts and so on. So basically if I want to measure the amount of the ambition that I had in comparison to where I've been and to where I'm now, I would say it is very massively different because in Algeria just functional just work."
