Students working on race car

Every year, University of Strathclyde Motorsport design, build, market and race a single-seat bike-engined racing car as part of the global Formula Student initiative, a series of competitions focused on developing engineering talent. The USM team is made up of students from the University's Engineering and Business faculties.

Formula Student United Kingdom (FSUK) is held at the Silverstone Racing Circuit in mid-July, the weekend after the British Grand Prix. It is Europe’s most established educational motorsport competition hosting around 120 teams from universities all over the world.
