What is the Pre-Masters Programme?
The Pre-Masters Programme provides academic and English language study modules to prepare you for a postgraduate degree at the University of Strathclyde. We offer the two-term standard programme and a 12-week accelerated format. 97% of students who completed the Pre-Masters Programme at the International Study Centre were offered progression to a degree course at the University of Strathclyde in 2023.
Across all programme options, there is a choice of subject routes depending on the degree you want to progress to. Once you successfully complete your programme and achieve the required grades, you can start your chosen Masters degree at the University of Strathclyde.

We offer additional English language programmes that are designed to raise your IELTS to the required level.
English Language Preparation Online for 2 terms Pre-Masters Programme
- 6 weeks: February or June
- 10 weeks: May or September
- 16 weeks: April or July
Alternatively, if you're looking to study 2 terms Pre-Masters Programme and need to improve your IELTS score, you can take an on-campus English language course first starting in September 2024 or January 2025.
