How the application process works
We’ve created a step-by-step guide to our admissions process, so you know exactly what to expect from beginning your application form to arriving at the International Study Centre.
1. Apply online
Firstly, complete our online application form. You don’t need to do this all at once as we’ve made it possible for you to save your progress along the way. However, you should still make sure you apply with enough time to organise your visa – which can take up to several weeks.
2. Speak with an advisor
If you meet the entry requirements, you'll receive a response from an expert team of specialist student enrolment advisors within 2 working days (Monday to Friday). They will talk you through your next steps and support you throughout the process.
3. Receive an offer letter
If your application is successful, we will send you an offer letter. We will then talk you through your next steps. Your offer letter will contain any conditions you need to meet to study with us, as well as explaining your fees and payment plan.
4. Confirm your offer
Once you understand all the details, you can confirm your offer electronically. It is best to secure your place as soon as possible so your offer is not lost and you can begin planning logistics for your arrival.
5. Pay your fees
To confirm your offer, you first need to:
- pay the confirmation fee
- return your signed acceptance form.
To find out how much tuition costs and when the fees are due, you can check our fees [link] page.
6. Receive your CAS
After meeting the conditions of your offer letter and making the necessary payments, you will be issued your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). Once you have this, you can apply for your visa.
7. Access visa and accommodations support
As part of applying online with us, you gain access to completely free, expert advice on applying for your visa and booking accommodation. Once you have confirmed your place and met all the conditions listed in your offer letter, you can access this guidance. They may also recommend a local free of charge visa service.
8. Plan for your arrival
We have lots of useful tips available to help you get ready to arrive in the UK. Closer to your arrival date, you will also receive a complimentary induction pack, full of everything you need to know about beginning university life in Glasgow.
