The University of Strathclyde International Study Centre offers specialist tuition in English language, study skills and subject preparation. Alongside other international students, you'll study programmes developed in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde in preparation for your university degree. 97% of students who completed their pathway programme at the International Study Centre were offered progression to a degree course at the University of Strathclyde in 2024.

Pathway programmes

Undergraduate Foundation Programme

The Undergraduate Foundation Programme offers you a pathway to the second year of a four-year undergraduate degree (some exceptions apply) at the University of Strathclyde. Study for three terms and choose from two subject routes: Business and Social Sciences, or Engineering and Sciences.

International Year Two

Get the academic, language and career support you need to study your degree with confidence and progress to year three of your undergraduate degree at the University of Strathclyde. This one-year programme helps you adjust to studying in the UK while building valuable skills for your future.

Postgraduate pathways

We offer a variety of postgraduate pathways with different course lengths to suit you. These include a standard two-term Pre-Masters Programme or a 12-week Accelerated Pre-Masters Programme.

Scholarships for international students

Scholarships are available for self-funded students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study, these cover both the International Study Centre programme and the University of Strathclyde degree.

I think Glasgow is my second home because whenever I travel to somewhere, as soon as I step outside of the train I am just like, "Oh, I really wish I was back home in Glasgow." I have established my life and just my relations in Glasgow now. And then I picked it again for my masters because I I'm not ready to leave yet.
