From January 2021, you can benefit from studying three new modules, all designed to further develop your mathematics knowledge on our Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Engineering and Sciences.

  • Discrete Maths and Graph Theory - The main aim of this module is to introduce elementary concepts of discrete mathematics and graph theory.
  • Further Calculus - This module’s objective is to further develop the topics studied in the core Mathematics for Science and Engineering module.
  • Quantitative Methods - Students will gain knowledge of the key concepts of data analysis, sampling and statistical inference.

These new modules are compulsory to progress on to the following degrees upon completion of your pathway programme:

  • BSc (Hons) Data Analytics
  • BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Teaching

We are working with the University to open additional progression options for students wishing to study these three new modules from the September 2021 intake.

You can begin your journey to the University of Strathclyde on the Undergraduate Foundation Programme in Engineering and Sciences this January and progress to the University of Strathclyde in September 2021. Alternatively, you can start your pathway programme at the International Study Centre in September 2021.
